What is Philo and Sophie?
Philo and Sophie is a philosophy and ethics curriculum that is being developed for kindergarten through third grade. Done in a Sesame Street-style, it follows Philo (a penguin), Sophie (a mermaid), and their friends as they learn about happiness, success, truth, and love. Along the way they learn about the intrinsic dignity of all persons, and the happiness that comes from caring for others and being loved by God.
If you’re child attended St. Mark’s, Emerald Heights Academy, Holy Rosary in West Seattle, St. Rose of Lima, or Holy Rosary in Edmonds last year they likely got to see a sneak peak of Philo and Sophie.
- Parents or legal guardians will be required to stay with their child through the duration of the audition – no drop offs allowed.
- Filming will be done between July 30th and August 16th. Please let us know of any potential conflicts. A conflict does not automatically disqualify your child from being cast.
- Parents or legal guardians are required to fill out a release form for their child. You can fill out a release form on arrival, or download and print one below.
* Children only need to attend one audition. We have two possible dates to better accommodate schedules.
